New Begining again for my Blog

Hi everyone, sorry for the inconvenience of  changing my blog channel but I was hacked big time on

old site w.w.w.projectlifedebsway.com.   After much thought I have arrived back where I started.

I have decided to re post most of my articles from the other site to here, after much effort all is as it was.

Uniquely Creative - Amoung the Gum Trees paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages - .

Here my latest scrapbooking layout I have just completed . I decided this time to do a masculine theme  I think this type of layout is one of the hardest to do and not having that many photos to choose from also made it a little bit harder.

 I have used as usual the project life plastic  system for 12 x 12 d ring albums. I love doing my albums using this system its the best of all scrapbooking methods all rolled into one. Its so rewarding to use so many photos in a layout. Please try out this way of doing your albums 

  If you cannot get this collection just find something that you like and co-ordinating papers and use tutorial as a template. Come and give it a try its so much fun to do albums this way

13@arts - Sweet Magnolia paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages -

 

Hi everyone, I have been given the great privilege of teaching as a guest teacher at my favorite scrapbook shop Paper Flourish. (Adelaide. South Australia) 

As normal for my Scrapbooking album I have used the project life plastic sleeve system  The pocket system allows you to use so many photos and spots for hidden journeling .This way of doing layouts gives you loads of freedom to do what you love ( scrapbooking pretty stuff) it’s a cross between 12 x 12 layouts and project life, and mini albums all rolled into one.

Please give this way of scrapbooking a go it is so much fun  but  if you can not get these papers  do not think you can't  do the layout , just choose papers that  you have and use video as a template. Please give it a go.

 I have included a cutting guide for those that are interested as I think this helps

Another 12 x 12 layout done ready to pop into my photo album . Have not done  a travel theme for  a while  so was great fun.   To add more photos I have added a few flap pages in this album. 

 Using the project life sleeve system for your photo albums gives you loads of photo spots in your layout (11 plus photos) The paper line I have used in this layout is from Uniquely Creative. Tapestry of time. 

 If you cannot get this collection just find something that you like and coordinating papers and use tutorial as a template. Come and give it a try its so much fun to do albums this way.

Mintay - Mummarazzi paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages -

 

Here is a look at my latest scrapbooking layout I have just completed. I Could not resist the new Mintay collection of Mummarazzi . This was such a different collection with bold colours .

 I have used as usual the project life plastic sleeve system for 12 x 12 D ring albums. The pocket system allows you to use so many photos and spots for hidden journeling .This way of doing layouts gives you loads of freedom to do what you love ( scrapbooking pretty stuff) it's a cross between 12 x 12 layouts and project life, and mini albums all rolled into one. Please give it a go.

Prima - Apricot Honey paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages

Another double sided scrapbook layout.  This layout was a bit difficult because most of the photos I had were in black and white.  To much colour would have distracted away from the photos.   This paper collection was just right for what I wanted.  

  I give all the cutting dimensions  on the cheat sheet below and have done a Youtube video with  the process from start to finish in real time including lots of tips and techniques. 

You may not be able to get this collection now as it was in my old stash of papers but  just find something that you like and choose co-ordinating papers and use tutorial as a template. Bee Arty – Whispering wood paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages

This was a out of my comfort zone 12 x 12 layout. This paper collection has a very strong colour palette  There were a few flowers to fussy cut from the papers so added some view finders from my stash and used a few tags included in the paper line  including some kraft tags I made myself.  The twine I wrapped around the tags to add texture. 

 The Project life pocket pages once again shows how versatile they can be, with a inclusion of top of page flap pocket.

 I always try to make sure that the layout draws your eyes to the most important part  (Photos)  so did a double photo mat with green behind.  

This paper is still available from Bee Arty but  if you like my layout  and want something similar there are a lot of other paper collections which are very much alike just  use tutorial as a template.

Kaisercraft – Rose Avenue - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages

This was such a fun 12 x 12 layout to do. I bashed my stash and made this process video from an old collection from Kaisercraft called Rose Avenue. Using kaisercraft was like visiting an old friend. I really loved this collection how I have not used it before now I don’t understand

I just added a  few white die cut flowers and sprays to add some relief from pinks .

 The Project life pocket pages once again shows how versatile they can be.

 I always try to make sure that the layout draws your eyes to the most important part  (Photos)  but the soft colours in this layout made that very easy.

If you are lucky enough to have this in your stash please give this layout a try  but this paper collection was so popular it is no longer available but  if you like my layout  and want something similar there are a lot of other paper collections which are very much alike just  use tutorial as a template.

Mintay - Gracefull paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages

  Another 12 x 12 layout done ready to pop into my photo album. I could not wait to get into this paper collect. Well be careful for what you wish for. . I think this has been one of the hardest layouts I have ever completed. Nothing seemed to go together or flow. So I hope you like the finished result.

 The Project life pocket pages once again stood up to the challenge and made the process of this layout easier, thankfully. 

 I always try to make sure that the layout draws your eyes to the most important part  (Photos)  but the colours in this layout were so soft that the photos seemed to look after themselves.

A quick search on the net shows that  these papers are available but if you like my layout  wish to do something similar and  cannot get this collection just find a paper collection  that you like , with some coordinating papers and use tutorial as a template.

Come and give it a try its so much fun to do albums this way.

Uniquely Creative –Days of December paper collection - Scrapbook Layout using Project Life Pocket Pages

 

Another 12 x 12 layout done ready to pop into my photo album. I could not resist these Xmas papers so made a layout turning the Christmas theme papers into a layout that had nothing to do with Christmas time. As normal I have used Scrapbook papers and ephemera to make the cards for the pocket pages instead of project life cards.

The Project life pocket pages once again stood up to the challenge and made the process of this layout easier.

I always try to make sure that the layout draws your eyes to the most important part  (Photos)  so to highlight those I decided to use the old trick of matting onto black photo mats , and once again the journaling has been hidden in secret  folders at the back of the pockets.

A quick search on the net shows that  these papers are available but if you like my layout  wish to do something similar and  cannot get this collection just find a paper collection  that you like , with some coordinating papers and use tutorial as a template.
